Very disappointed to hear that you’ll be using rennet extracted from the stomachs of calves in Mars products from now on. I’m not even a vegetarian, but I find the idea of this property being in your chocolate extremely offputting. My sister, who is a vegetarian, is rather disappointed, as I’m sure are all the millions of vegetarians up and down the UK. It’s a bizarre and backwards step. I’d be interested in hearing why you’ve decided to do this, preferably without any marketing nonsense. Is it a scientific reason (does it make the chocolate taste extra meaty), or is it to save money?
