Trip Planning Woes
I both really, really hate and really, really love planning trips. I’ve now started planning my trip to Switzerland, and it’s already proving to be extremely complicated. Over the weekend, I’ve been thumbing through my Berlitz guide and over the course of those two days, the trip has turned from an inexpensive short trip to Geneva, to an expensive dash to Lausanne and then deep into the Alps via Lauterbrunnen up a 1000 metre long cable to a practically cut-off village called Murren, leaving Geneva out altogether (which is slightly embarrassing considering the name of this website). What I’m having difficulty doing is managing my costs. I’m pretty sure I can afford to be really generous with where I stay and what I do, but I don’t want to be. Plus, I’m finding it hard to work out how long it takes to get to places and whether additional stop-overs are required. It’s proving to be very tricky.
If you’ve stumbled upon this page and you know Switzerland, or you’ve had experience in planning trips to Switzerland, your help would be greatly appreciated. Drop a comment in the box.
