Upgraded… Finally!

Man, that was annoying!

I’ve just upgraded to the latest edition of Wordpress, version 2.5. It’s taken much longer than I thought it would. The longest part was uploading all the new files to my server. Once that was done, the rest was simple and went without a hitch.

Well, there’s one hitch. The template’s screwed up. It’s totally my fault so don’t panic if you’re running a WordPress blog that needs updating. I’m sure most of my regulars are reading this via their feed reader, so it won’t really matter, but if you’re here and thinking, “Jeez, at least change the template,” I will as soon as I can.

Before I do that though, I’m going to check out the new admin interface. It looks pretty good. Much better than before. I’ve recently been thinking of swapping to a different blogging engine, but this upgrade might coax me back to the WordPress Appreciation Society.
