O2 Disappoint Pay&Go Customers

I’m not happy. Not at all!
This Friday, the brand new iPhone 3G will be launched to the drooling masses. Up until yesterday, I was one of those, wiping saliva away and making sure my bank balance would be able to cope. That was until O2, the exclusive carrier of the iPhone in the UK, [...]

A Very British Earthquake

00h58: Just been woken up by earthquake. Pretty strong. Pretty sure it wasn’t me.
That was a tweet I sent to Twitter this morning, two minutes after being woken by the strongest earthquake to occur in the UK for almost 25 years. I’ve long wanted to experience two natural phenomena’s, a tornado and an earthquake. Last [...]

iTunes can get Lost

Yesterday, Apple added TV Shows to the UK iTunes store, two years after introducing the service to the USA. For the time being, there are 28 shows such as Lost, Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty available from networks including ABC, Disney, Nickelodeon and MTV.
The good: A lot of this content isn’t available to buy in [...]

Review: iMovie ‘08

In my previous post, I touched briefly upon the newly released iMovie ‘08, part of Apple’s iLife software package. iTunes Plus

I’ve just bought my first tune from iTunes Plus, the new section of the iTunes Store that offers customers tunes that are DRM-free and double the quality for 99p each (20p more than the protected, lower quality tracks). I also bought my second and third ‘Plus’ tracks, but they’re still downloading. In fact, after half [...]

Shiira Project

Users of Windows don’t have much choice when it comes to web browsers. They invariably start using Internet Explorer since it’s there already when they switch on. Increasingly though, they’re discovering Internet Explorer is rubbish and that there are alternatives such as Firefox (if you haven’t made the switch, do your bit for humanity and [...]

Kent Earthquake

Waking up this morning to reports of a moderate Earthquake near Folkstone in Southern England. The U.S. Geological Survey says it happened at 08h18 and measured 4.7 on the richter scale, while the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre have said it measured 5.0 on the richter scale. Kent Police says it measure 4.3 on the richter scale. [...]
