It’s been a while since I last posted. Nineteen days in fact. That’ll never do. Here’s a short video to make up for the absence. The video compiles shots taken from the balcony at the Hotel Oberland in Lauterbrunnen in order to portray the increasing snow cover. Had I thought me giggling with excitement would [...]

Back at the beginning of March, I was in Switzerland. I’m sure you already know this, so I won’t go on about it. I went purely to experience proper wintry conditions and Mother Nature (bless her) didn’t let me down. When I arrived, there was any snow at all, but literally hours after my arrival [...]

I’m particularly proud of this video. I think I need to get myself a better camera though. While the video looks crystal clear on my mac, Vimeo’s compression affects the sharpness.

Here’s a short video that I shot down by the embankment in town. You’ll see the water increase in velocity half way through, catching wildfowl by surprise. You’ll also see emergency crews packing up on the far bank after pulling the body of a man out of the water.

Last Saturday, I experienced something I have never experienced before. The past five years or so, I’ve watched and enjoyed it on television, but when it made a historic trip to London, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see it in person.

This is the first in a series of posts about Belgium, one of my favourite countries. Despite only having a population of just over 10 million, it is one of the most misunderstood countries in the world. Ask people what they think of Belgium and most of them will say “boring,” even if they themselves [...]

Here’s a quick video I shot a few weeks ago that you may not have seen. I was at a wedding at a five star hotel and this video was taken during my wander through the grounds.

I was quite sorry today to hear former Russian president Boris Yeltsin has died at the age of 76. Yes, he presided over the military action in Chechnya, which he accepted full responsibilty for. But, he also spectacularly booted out Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev and became Russia’s first democratically elected president, which I think is [...]

Today I was in one of my favourite places in the world to see the London Marathon, the world’s largest city marathon and, according to the race organisors, the world’s largest annual fundraising event. I go to London an awful lot (I used to have to go there every day when I worked there) and [...]
