About The Site

Here To Geneva was born in April 2007 as I prepared to visit Switzerland for the first time. It was my intention to fly into Geneva, tour the country by train and document my experiences with an aim of publishing them online. After a few days of thought, the name ‘Here To Geneva’ came to me. I quickly snapped up the web address and set everything up.

A few days after that, I changed my mind and decided to fly into EuroAirport Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg instead. It was too late to change the name so I stuck with it despite it being wholly inaccurate.

Now, Here To Geneva is where I document ALL my travels. In mid-2011, the site was featured in Tumblr’s Spotlight, leading to a dramatic increase in traffic and subscribers, for which I’m very grateful. It’s a genuine thrill to share my photos, videos and trip notes with so many people from around the world.
